Barista/Counter Position

Monumental Market is seeking part-time counter staff/baristas to help serve and brew locally made, 100% nut-free products to our Jamaica Plain community. While the ideal candidate will have 1+ years in a similar front of house setting, we are willing to train anyone who has an eagerness to learn and adapt to our growing business! This position will require at least 2-3 shifts a week, This job will require staff to prepare and execute all aspects of the shop, maintain high quality customer service, and work well in a team setting. Shift Lead Position
A shift lead is a hard working individual who models the high quality customer service and efficient operations for your fellow team members. This position is formally responsible for the following: completion of barista prep items & maintaining coffee pars; assistance with catering & other special projects; conducting minor inventory; maintaining petty cash & change flow; point person for customers when owner/manager is unavailable; (higher responsibility to make sure messages get passed along etc); assisting with implementation of cleaning projects. Overall, this position will be a supportive role to the owner/manager - to make sure the FOH operations are consistent and completed daily, and to ensure all customers experience a clean, well stocked, and inviting store! Baker Position

Monumental Market is looking for someone to join our growing kitchen team! This position will require 15-20 hours a week in the kitchen - prepping, portioning and baking for the daily production needs. This role will work closely with the kitchen manager on daily production for both kitchen and cafe needs. The ideal candidate will have confidence in scratch baking, independence and intuition working in commercial kitchens, and enjoy working on a team.
